Hi sir, Always investigations doesn’t suggest treatment only the clinical signs and symptoms as u have mentioned the pain is nill in resting position and increases with loading it’s pure sign of weak core and bad limbo pelvic. So suggest you to take adequate rest and do pelvic tilt exs followed by ice and consult a Physio for core activation
Next Steps
If pain doesn’t settles in couple of days go for IFT and not traction as the neurological signs have not been mentioned. Also advice you to avoid traction in the early phase to avoid flare up
Health Tips
Use 90-90 position for hip and knee in back resting on flat surface also lying on your back of knee with pillow support
Your back pain could be due to disc lesion. You need to do some modifications in your day to day activities.
You should give hot water fomentation for your back twice a day for 15-20 minutes.
You can use Volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic.
You should do back stretching and strengthening exercises with proper guidance.
Take intermittent breaks in between your work for every 20 minutes stand and walk around for 2 minutes. Keep changing your posture.
Next Steps
You need to consult a Physiotherapist for further treatment.
Health Tips
Avoid bending activities.
Avoid prolonged sitting or standing position.
Avoid weight lifting and frequent staircase climbing.
My recommendation, don't get overwhelmed with the MRI reports. Start your rehab as soon as possible with a physio guidance and you will be completely pain free and will be able to do everything you want. Even though its a slip disc, it will heal over time from inside....if you bullet proof your spine with proper exercises, there is no reason why you should not be pain-free.
Hi...
You need to get yourself evaluated from a Physiotherapist and follow a regular exercise program. It will help you to manage the pain. The therapist will prescribe you a tailored program according to your need. You will need to do back and core strengthening exercises to prevent further aggravation in your pain and prevent further damage to your spine.
Next Steps
Consult a Physiotherapist for a exercise program
Health Tips
1. Use hot packs for pain 3-4 times a day.
2. Use a lumbar belt if you have to stand for long hours.
3. While sitting make sure you are sitting with a proper posture.
4. If you are sitting for long hours take a break every 20 to 30 min.
Your Physiotherapist will show you what simple exercises to do to relieve pain immediately while working.
Thank you.
Hii, as you have disc bulge and mild canal stenosis it vl take some time to heal but don’t worry it’s curable with proper physiotherapy. So consult nearest physiotherapist and start treatment, check your calcium and vitamin D level if it’s low than you have to take supplements. You can take hot water fomentation , core strengthening is necessary
Next Steps
Counsult physiotherapist
Health Tips
Avoid jerky movements, avoid being in one position for long time , do not lift heavy weights
Dear client needs to be examined in person, it may be due to postual disorder, you said sitting long hours but over computers or any other work needs to be clearified
Next Steps
if its a postural issue needs through examination of problematic muscles and also bony configuration or movement
Health Tips
in the mean u can try lying on back with little firm mattress, do hot fomentation
Local back pain which is aggravated on sitting is usually a disc injury. As your MRI results say so. MRI's pick up a lot of data and they may not be clinically significant.
Most back injuries could take upto 8 weeks if treated. Sometimes lesser. However this could vary. Other factors like poor abdominal tone, being overweight would need to be addressed.
With no leg pain, you nerve to the leg seems to be unimpinged.
Do you have any issues with bowel or bladder( toilet functions)?
Next Steps
get a physiotherapist appointment
Health Tips
try to avoid lifting, pulling or pushing heavy objects at this stage. Bed rest is not necessarily the way to go.
Your back pain'is due to disc bulge so if you have more pain try to apply ice pack three times a day 10 min-15min not more than that.and start doing exercises for back like static back exercises which will strengthen your back and do stretching as well.try to take breaks inbetween your work.
Next Steps
avoid lifting heavy weight
avoid forward bending
avoid long sitting posture.
