Hello sir, are you a patient of OCD? or is anyone from your home or friends suffering from OCD? Though, your question is very specific about maximum dose of sertraline, I will try to answer it with a little more background information about OCD & it's treatment OCD or obsessive compulsive disorder is a severe form of mental illness which is characterized by repetitive intrusive anxiety provoking thoughts impulses or mental images known as obsessions;  which is followed by repetitive ritualistic activities known as compulsions, which are done to alleviate these  obsessions. most people of OCD do know, that their thoughts a.k.a. obsession do not make any sense and they don't enjoy doing it. But nevertheless they are compelled to do it in order to alleviate their anxiety & fears. Also patients of OCD & their families just don't know that these thoughts and their subsequent ritualistic behaviours are indicative of mental illness and they  should consult a psychiatrist ASAP. Hence patients of OCD do not reach psychiatrist till it is fairly late in the course of illness. the common symptoms of OCD are fear of getting dirty, contaminated,  fear of catching germs, infection frequent washing rituals, fear of getting hurt or accidentally hurting someone close,  exact need of symmetry, things needing to be placed in exact same order fears about good/bad, good omens bad omens need to count things repeatedly inability to throw away things  hoarding unnecessary things. constant  blinking, constantly clearing throat, grunting etc. common compulsions are repetitive hand washing excessive time spent in cleaning excessive time spent in doing religious rituals repetitive number counting repetitive checking locks gas valves electric buttons etc. treatment of OCD is usually done by SSRI+ TCA category of medications plus counselling techniques known as exposure and response prevention. But all these treatment decisions are based on patients clinical profile and symptom severity. Hence I strongly  recommend you to consult a Psychiatrist immediately. Please Dont try any type of self medication as it may paradoxically worsen your illness or may result in unexpected body side effects. Hope this helps

Unfortunately “trial” isnt how the medicines work. How long did you take all these medicines? Ocd getting worse with medicines is unheard of. Did you change medicines very frequently? Didnt take them regularly? Also did you go for counselling with medicines? Ocd has to be treated with medicines and counselling. Dont lose hope. All the best!
Health Tips
1) consult a psychiatrist for treatment. 2)go for counselling and take medicines

Sometimes medication has to be accompanied by therapy. There are many effective therapeutic methods like CBT specifically for anxiety disorders and systematic desensitization. Please contact a therapist to work on your issues. All the best!
