Hi, My sister is having OCD from past few years. It is increased more from last 2 years. Because of this thier family problems and disputes started. Is there medical treatment for this problem?

Hi there, Your sister is not alone with this disorder and there are so many with this problem. The best part is … There are drugs(medical) for the treatment of the case and also non pharmacological ( Psychological) management in addition to the drugs. But don’t self medicate. Take the treatment under the supervision of a mental health professional.

Yes. There are both medicines that one can take as well as non medical exercises that we call therapies to help with this problem. Consult with a Psychiatrist at the earliest as OCD has a relatively longer treatment.
