Non-healing Right Wrist, Normal X-ray
Last year, I injured my right wrist after falling from a train onto the platform and landing on my hand. At that time, it seemed like a sprain, but it took over 6 months to heal completely. A few months ago, I fell again from a height and impacted the same right wrist sideways. It has now been 2 months since this second injury, but it has not healed. I got an X-ray done, and no fractures were found. Currently, I cannot use my hand normally. My range of motion is significantly reduced, and I experience pain when I try to move or push it beyond a certain limit. The wrist feels weak and painful during daily activities. I’m concerned because this is a repeated injury and recovery seems delayed.

Mri required for wrist ..with suspicious scaphoid fracture. Right now restrict wrist movement with a wrist brace and take mild pain killer.  Follow after investigation. If no bone injury is found. Tendon inflammation could be seen

With a history of repeated trauma to the same wrist, persistent pain, weakness, and restricted motion despite a normal X-ray, a soft tissue injury such as TFCC tear, ligament injury, or occult carpal injury is strongly suspected. X-rays often miss these conditions, especially after sideways or fall-on-hand impacts. Delayed healing and pain with loading suggest the wrist has not fully stabilized from the previous injury. At this stage, an MRI of the wrist is recommended to identify ligament or cartilage damage. Continued use without diagnosis may worsen the condition. A wrist specialist evaluation is advisable to guide further treatment and prevent long-term stiffness or instability.
