The pic attached shows extrinsic discoloration(staining) of tongue with central area of depapillation. Extrinsic staining can be caused by consumption of colored/iron rich foods like pomegranate ,blueberries ,excessive tea/coffee etc Central area of depapillation can be caused by nutritional deficiencies like B12/Iron ,condition called geographic tongue ,GI disturbances etc
