According to your husband sign and symptom and  history he is now suffering from loose motion that is due to some infection in the GIT area . Hypertension is different Disease and Loose motion is different. Causing factor of both are different. You should give the treatment as follow as for loose motion to your husband as 1- Cap Pantop DSR 1 time per day for 3 days before food. 2- Tab Flagyl 400 mg 2 time per day for 3 days after food. 3- Cap Vizylac 2 time per day for 3 days after food. 4-Cap multivitamin A to Z gold 2 time per day for 3 days after food for strength and immunity. You should measure the blood pressure of your husband and if blood pressure is increase with that medicine as he is taking the you should take consultation for better evaluation and then medicine will be changed accordingly.
Next Steps
Your husband should take above medicine and he will be well definitely. He should follow good life style as take plenty of fluid and take less spicy and fatty foods and take home made semi liquid food.

It is very unlikely for the Amlodipine to cause diarrhea. However if the diarrhea episodes have occurred after the use of tablet ,he may need to visit his doctor for different class  antihypertensive medicine.
