she could be having ankyloglossia, it can be addressed through a simple surgery for tongue tie release by a good oral and maxillofacial surgeon, to prevent speech development problems due to insufficient tongue movement. look out for other things which may present as a myriad of problems like short lower jaw or micrognathia and a hole in the palate or cleft palate which cinstitutes the pierre robin sequence. howeve if the other two problems are not present you can be at peace and only get the tongue tie surgically corrected preferably before speech development although surgery is possible at any age but the sooner the better
