If u feel pain it doesn't mean strain for 1 year. Because strain means tear of some fibers of muscles and if muscles fibers are break then they healed after some time through the immune system . So if you feel pain it may be hyperuse of muscle or muscle weakness. So better you can consult a good physiotherapist
