Occasionally , I have notice mucus in stool, I took colonoscopy, report came as hamorrhoid in the rectum, rest of the colon is normal. My question is that what are the causes of mucus in stool and how to treat it.

Mucus in the stools shows infection of the large intestine. You have got colonoscopy done. So all major problems are excluded. You may take some intestinal antiseptics.
