Aphthous ulcer is a very common kind of intraoral ulcer which can develop due to multiple reason starting from severe psychological stress to gastric disorder and poor oral hygiene. Generally it will last for 3-7 days and will subside naturally. It is advisable to maintain proper oral hygiene such as brushing twice daily and flossing. Also rinse mouth with luke warm saline water after every meal. Finally consume food rich in vitamin c such as  citrusy fruits. If burning sensation is extremely discomforting then topical anaesthetic gel such as benzocaine can be applied (if no history of allergy present).
Next Steps
Wait and onserve for atleast seven days.
Health Tips
Try to avoid extremely spice food it delays the healing process.
