Mouse bite/scratch
Hello, doctors! While taking a walk in my own bedroom, a mouse happened to jump on my right foot. Initially I didn't even look at it properly but just now discovered there is a small lesion/scratch like a nail scratch. It's very superficial however. As a precautionary move, I applied Neosporin. What should I do?

Rabies from a mouse exposure is extremely uncommon, but the key issue is whether the skin was actually broken. A superficial scratch should be cleaned promptly; rabies vaccine is usually not needed for a routine mouse scratch, but tetanus protection and the wound still need assessment.
