Healthy evening Blood pressure varies throughout the day often increases around the time of waking up. However, some medication, health conditions and lifestyle factors can lead to unusually high morning blood pressure. Morning hypertension can increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. Lifestyle changes can help reduce blood pressure, including: 1. Eating healthy diet 2. Getting enough sleep 7-9 hours 3. Exercise regularly 4. Managing weight 5. Limited alcohol 6. Quitting smoking 7. Managing stress 8. Taking your medications as prescribed You should let your healthcare professionals know if you often have trouble sleeping. They can help you find and treat cause.
