Organ preservation and non mutilating Concurrent Chemotherapy & Radiadtion might be sufficient for stage 2 oral cancer & surgical salvage could be contemplated for recurrence

Based on the information you have given... Your know person suffering from mouth cancer(oral cavity cancer)... Stage 2 I suggest approach any cancer hospital near by and discuss with the oncology team (surgical, medical and radiation oncology).. Normally ,if surgical feasibility is there, with no major disturbances in functional outcomes---> surgery followed by radiation + or - chemotherapy will be considered based on post surgery pathology report.. If surgical feasibility is not there chemotherapy + radiotherapy will be considered..
