Hello Doctor,
I saw experiencing hair fall problem since 4 years, i went and consulted a dermatologist and he suggested me use of minoxidil 2% and then suggested 5%. He didnt inform me initially that minoxidil should continue life long.Anyhow my hair fall stopped and regained my hair, but 1 year back my friend suggested that minoxidil may have several side effects over years so i stopped, as soon as i stopped minoxidil usage again my hair fall started double speed and now front liners n crowns are half way gone and became very thin, now i started using minoxidil 5% again, is there a possibility to get back my hair?
Does stopping and restarting the minoxidil okay? Any longer side effects with minoxidil, could you please suggest me, can I continue using minoxidil 5% longer use?

Not like that..it depends on the grade.. starting and stopping to be done in a procedural manner.....Do direct private online consultation for detailed prescription by sending photos.

You are suffering from androgenetic alopecia. Its progressive and hereditary. Hence once you stop minoxidil, it will progress. It has no long-term side effects.
You can go for hair transplant for permanent results.
