A severe migraine attack that lasts longer than 72 hours requires further evaluation. Factors like dehydration, lack of sleep, or high stress can make a migraine more severe.
Next Steps
Rest in a dark room without bright lights or loud noises to reduce sensory overload. Apply a cold pack or ice wrapped in a cloth to your forehead or on the back of your neck for 15–20 minutes.Drink plenty of water. Dehydration can cause intense pain. if u have a habit, a small cup of coffee can help, though it may be a trigger if u r allergic to caffine
Health Tips
I would recommend you to speak with a physician for further evaluation rather than increasing the dose, as overusing it can be harmful to the liver.

I understand that your migraine is not responding to your usual medication (Combiflam) this time. While migraines can occasionally last longer than 48 hours (a condition known as Status Migrainosus), at age 51, a change in headache pattern or a headache that doesn't resolve requires a professional assessment to ensure there isn't an underlying cause. Recommendations for You: Consult a Specialist: I strongly recommend seeing a Neurologist or a General Physician for a physical examination. They may need to rule out conditions that can mimic migraines in your age group, such as Temporal Arteritis or issues related to blood pressure. Blood Pressure Check: Since you mentioned the pain is not subsiding, please have your blood pressure checked today. High blood pressure can sometimes cause persistent headaches. Watch for Red Flags: Please seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following: Sudden, 'thunderclap' onset of pain (the worst headache of your life). Changes in your vision, fever, or a stiff neck. Weakness, numbness, or difficulty speaking. Scalp tenderness or pain in your jaw while chewing. Regarding Medication: Since Combiflam (Ibuprofen/Paracetamol) is not providing relief, do not exceed the recommended dose, as this can lead to 'medication overuse headaches.' A specialist may prescribe more specific 'abortive' treatments, such as triptans or specialized IV therapy, to break the cycle of this current attack. Please prioritize a consultation today to ensure you get the right treatment and relief.
