Metformin tablets for pcod
I have pcod problem with irregular prolonged periods, for this my doctor prescribed metformin tablets twice a day.is if safe to use them? Are there any known side effects?

Ya its ok if ur weight is on higher side already, ur LFT test is normal, and sugar is normal.. medicine is to b taken after meal..

Metformin 850 mg twice a day for 3 months is useful in PCOD Get a check ultrasound done for uterus tubes and ovaries and endometrial thickness after 3 months Metformin can cause low sugar so make sure you take it Immediately after meals or along with meals
