Mental Anxiety and Nervousness

My father is having mental anxiety and nervousness in doing anything. Repeatedly speaks the same thing and having negative feelings regarding everything. Is not ready to understand anything and keep speaking the same things throughout. Having lack of confidence and is having fear in doing anything. Please prescribe some medicines that will help to control the things.
