It a meniscal tear . I operate meniscal I juries regularly . If the patient had severe pain despite physiotherapy for 2weeks better to get operated. Surgery includes repair or reshaping of meniscus by shaving the torn tissue.
Next Steps
initial physiotherapy include ultrasound therapy or IFT for 2 weeks .

It's minor meniscus injury and should settle down with ice pack medicine physio. off course rest is must.
