Long term use of naproxen is bad for your kidneys ... So first use paracetamol 1g ...( It's safe for kidneys ) If not working then use naproxen

Both are same. But don’t use naproxen on a regular basis, it may result into NSAID induced headache. Rather use prophylactic agents for migraine. If no asthma/ diabetes/ depression/ heart disease: Can use Inderal 20/40 safely after consultation If contraindications are there, can use Flunarizine 10 or, Topiramate

No problem if composition name and doses are same. But don't take it continuously for long period bkz its adverse effects. Take tab Migon-Plus Once a day (if no asthmatic) Tab Neproxen with domperidone sos ( when headache not tolerable only)

Both contain naproxen, so there is no major difference in strength. Since you have acidity/GERD, take it only after food and avoid on empty stomach.
Next Steps
If burning or stomach pain increases, stop and review. Please consult me for proper diagnosis and treatment.

First of all Use this medicine sos or in case of emergency, if u have to then take it with food, avoid lying down immediately after taking the medicine.
Health Tips
If headache attacks are more and much more frequent then consult your neurologist, just taking naproxen won't help. For detailed and further management you can consult me.

Naproxen is a NSAID, i.e. group of drugs for pain relief, that invariably causes some gastric irritation. You can take it, after food or along with it, take tab pantaprazole 40mg before breakfast.

You took Naprosyn 500+ (naproxen 550 mg) for migraine. Your doctor prescribed Naprosyn 500 mg.
Next Steps
If you already took one tablet: ✔ Do not panic. ✔ Take it after food (never empty stomach). ✔ Take a PPI if you have one (e.g., pantoprazole). If migraine persists and you need future doses: • Prefer taking it with a PPI cover • Or ask your doctor about: • Triptans • Paracetamol-based combinations • Etoricoxib (sometimes gentler on stomach, but still NSAID) If you develop: • Severe burning • Black stools • Vomiting • Severe epigastric pain → Seek medical attention.
Health Tips
✔ Avoid lying down immediately after taking NSAID ✔ Avoid coffee/spicy food on migraine day ✔ Stay well hydrated ✔ If GERD is frequent, long-term NSAIDs are not ideal For migraine patients with GERD, I often prefer: • Triptans • Naproxen only with gastric protection • Or non-NSAID options If you’d like, tell me how often your migraines occur and what GERD medication you’re currently on — we can tailor a safer migraine plan for you during an online consultation and reduce both headache and reflux flares effectively.

Hii no worries this much extra dosage is harmless if taken once. Although you should avoid naproxen if you have GERD as it may aggravate it. For a detailed discussion on your migraine symptoms and prophylaxis do connect for a proper consult .

No need to worry — Naprosyn 500 and Naprosyn 500+ (naproxen 550 mg) are essentially the same medicine (naproxen). The dose difference is very small and clinically acceptable. So if you took Naprosyn 500+ once instead of Naprosyn 500 → no problem at all. ✅ Safe for migraine relief ⚠️ But since you have GERD, naproxen can increase acidity or stomach irritation. What you should do • Always take naproxen after food • Take a PPI (like pantoprazole 40 mg / rabeprazole) before breakfast while using it • Avoid empty stomach dosing • Avoid frequent use if possible
Next Steps
When to avoid or stop If you develop: • Severe acidity • Burning chest pain • Vomiting • Black stool Then stop and consult doctor. 👉 If migraine is frequent and GERD is significant, sometimes doctors prefer paracetamol + anti-migraine drugs (like sumatriptan) instead of NSAIDs.
Health Tips
If you want, I can suggest the best migraine medicines safe in GERD.

No problem, it’s the same composition. Just to reduce GI side effects as you already have GERD issue , it is advised to take T. Naprosyn after meal . Also take ppi such as T. Pantop 40 mg.
