Matra basti
Hello doctors one of ayurveda gynec suggested matra basti for my daughter who gets recurrent uti !
Will this be helpful .as I had read articles uttarbasti helps in uti but dono the doctor asked to go for matra basti we are new to ayurveda
Kindly help with the reply if this will be helpful

As your daughter has an urinary track infection and may only Matra basti can't give her solution from UTI
Basically urinary infection is due to pitta Dosha or other infections or renal stone also.
Before the treatment started it needed to confirm the cause of the UTI.
Please consult another I will the doctor and start the medicines for the UTI problem Matra basti will not work for this

Matra Basti can be given to kids for better growth and joints and bones.
Take Praval Panchamrut 1 tab. twice a day after food.
and Kam dudha Ras 1 tab. twice a day after food.
both medicines with warm water. She will be alright in 7 days
Have plenty of waters

If the infection is due to recurrent constipation of you daughter...matra BASTI can help...
Although uttar BASTI helps in curing infection and not matra BASTI!
Pls give detail case history first and take proper consultation!

Matra basti is not for UTI.. the gynac not have proper knowledge I think,, oral medication is sufficient nd effective to treat Uti , further queries consult with me regarding ur concern

Uttarbasti is used for uro-genital problems and infertility.Matrabasti gastrointestinal problems and purification of toxins from the intestine.Both are not a specific treatment for U T I. Yoni Prakshalana ( vaginal wash) and internal medicine is sufficient for UTI.In general matrabasti is good for detoxification and removel of load on immunity .
