This is a result of the angle fracture. Being an oral and Maxillofacial surgeon I see it quite often. The Canal gets damaged resulting in injury the nerve inside. This numbness would have been before the operation too. Rest show me your opg both pre op and post op for better understanding. As of now start with neurobion Forte once a day for 30 days with a hope that the sensation returns.
Hello,
Temporary Parasthesia or lossof sensation is experienced by many during the recovery phase. You need to consult your Oral-Surgeon regarding this and get regular follow up checks done.Good luck.

Hi. The sensation problem is because the nerve inside ur lower jaw will be injured temporarily. Wil regain sensation within few weeks or later if there is no permanent injury. For the swelling any antiinflammatory tablet eil solve the problem .
Hello
It's normal to have parasthesia..
Visit your oral surgeon / orthodontist to know the muscle functional exercises like blowing 20 balloons/day etc. I'm sure it will help u.. only when u do these exercises ur muscle and nerve will get trained..
The inferior alveolar nerve must be affected a lot considering the intensity of fracture as described by yourselves. This will take time to heal and gradually you must regain your senses in those areas. Further in severe fracture like this there will inflammation (swelling) due to the impact of injury as well as due to the extensive surgical procedure undergone by you. Take necessary medications and give sufficient time to heal completely. In case of fracture and reduction healing time is very important and you can't expect everything back to normal in very short span.
Next Steps
If you find it highly annoying visit your oral and maxillofacial surgeon and get necessary medications for both problems.
Health Tips
In the mean time try to do works from home and take good rest. Rest is needed for good healing. Concentrate yourself in something interesting and it will give you good results in relieving mental stress with considerable physical healing.
