Lymphedema is a potential side effect of breast cancer surgery and radiation therapy that can appear in some people during the months or even years after treatment ends. There's no cure for lymphedema. Treatment focuses on reducing the swelling and controlling the pain.... Consult surgeon for further treatment....

You should immediately contact a surgeon, these infections can spread rapidly, she will require a course of antibiotics & the swelling should be monitored regularly.
