Hi.. Our body has multiple groups of lymphnodes and TB can essentially affect any of them. The affected lymphnode can be identified by imaging modalities (ultrasound, CT scan). The diagnosis is confirmed by either aspirating the contents or by taking a biopsy. Once confirmed, the patient needs to be treated with anti-TB medicines for a minimum duration of 6 months.

TB can involve any group of lymph nodes. The most commonly group of nodes involved are cervical. The diagnosis commonly is based on FNAc of the invoved lyphnode. In confusing cases excision biopsy and mycobacterial culture is advised. Treatment is simple as in case if oulmonary tuberculosis with standard ATT regimen.
