In CT scan doctor found a node which they are saying tumor but in pet scan reveal:
Hypermetabolic right upper lobe mass noted, corresponds with known disease
Metabolically active mediastinal nodes noted
No evidence of metabolically active disease noted elsewhere in present scan.

In PET CT SCAN, metabolically active mass will have high probability to be cancerous lesion. However if there is no signs of lower respiratory tract infection, CT guided biopsy of the mass will give the appropriate diagnosis of the lung mass.
Next Steps
CT guided biopsy or bronchoscopy guided lavage and biopsy and histopathological examination

PET CT report is suggestive of Right lung Cancer with localized spread to Lymphnodes. However you should confirm it with biopsy as early as possible so that you can avail best possible treatment as still the disease does not seem to have spread to any distant organ.
Please share your pet CT scan report... High metabolic activity suggests malignant disease..if you could share histopathology (biopsy report) and pet CT , I would be able to explain you regarding stage and possible treatment.
