Its not always necessary to extract wisdom tooth after orthodontic treatment. But since you have been advised to get it extracted the wisdom tooth must be having some problem like partially impacted or caries or some other issue. So ask your dentist your doubts and get it extracted.
Hello,
Your orthodontist must have advised this as there is a school of thought which believes that the wisdom tooth eruption can alter the well aligned anterior teeth after the braces treatment.
