Treatment depends on the cause & severity of back pain...
Yes improper sleeping posture and mattress can cause back discomfort on the long run..
Also your sitting standing & walking posture should be corrected
Continue Back & core muscle strengthening exercises
Check Vit D & B12 blood levels
Should get further tests done if pain affecting your routine daily activities

Talk to experienced orthopedist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
If pain is better now continue with exercises. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration because dehydrated disc is more prone to injury or buldge. If pain not settles consult orthopaedic dr.
Is there any radiating pain to the leg..?
Most common cause for low back pain is postural
Usually on examination we see spasm of the spinal muscles..
So you might need a muscle relaxant which could make your recovery quick..
Diclofenac gel local application
Vit D 3 60 k every week for 2 months might be needed
Hot fomentation will also make you feel better
After recovery you may have to do spinal extension
Next Steps
Swimming is the best exercise if you can do
avoid prolonged sitting..
Take a break for atleast 1 min - move around and go to your work again..
In case of prolonged standing .. take a stool and plant your foot over the stool to bend the knee
while sleeping keep a pillow under the knee
Health Tips
The catch is when you bend your knees your spine will be in relax state..
So try bending knees in places where you used to bend your back
