I have a lower back pain for 2 months now. Visited a doctor and also took the prescribed medicines. Can a back pain continue for so long?

Back pain can be due to numerous origin. Get yourself diagnosed for the cause. Chronic pain can also be simply magnesium deficiency,which will not be observed in blood tests.

Yes it can. Nowadays back pain is very common in our society. The main reason of this pain is poor posture, prolonged period of sitting activities, weak muscles, no stretching exercises or any accident. Medicines will give you temporary relief. As soon as you will stop taking medications you might experience the same pain again.

It depends upon the underlying cause for your backpain, if it is postural then no medicine will help for long-term.. so better consult ur physiotherapist/ Manual therapist or ergonomist

If the exacerbating factor is not identified then it can continue for long, only pain killers won't help coz they give symptomatic relief only(it masks pain for sometime) Visit a good physiotherapist, let them identify the cause and then it can be treated without medicines with proper targetted exs and manual therapy and u please continue exs taught for good one month at least

Yes if it is not attended properly it can continue U need to get Physiotherapy treatment done to get relieved from the symptoms I.e pain /numbness etc
