Weak erection and inability to maintain it for sufficient duration can happen due to multiple reasons and is a common concern. It may be related to stress, performance anxiety, poor sleep, fatigue, relationship concerns, excessive masturbation/porn use, or medical causes such as diabetes, thyroid problems, hormonal imbalance, obesity, smoking, alcohol use, or side effects of some medicines. Since you are also experiencing delayed erection after losing it initially, it would be important to know: • Since when this problem has started • Whether morning/night erections are normal • Whether sexual desire (libido) is normal • Any history of diabetes, BP, stress, anxiety, smoking, alcohol, or medications
Health Tips
Do not panic, as many cases are treatable after proper evaluation. Avoid self-medication or over-the-counter sexual performance medicines. Maintain good sleep, regular exercise, adequate hydration, and reduce stress. A detailed sexual history and basic evaluation may help identify the cause and guide treatment appropriately.

Weak or short-lasting erections at 27 are most commonly due to performance anxiety, stress, or psychological factors rather than a vitamin deficiency — though low testosterone, zinc, or vitamin D levels can contribute. This is likely erectile dysfunction of psychogenic origin, but hormonal and metabolic causes need to be ruled out before attributing it to vitamins alone.
Next Steps
Get a blood test done — testosterone (total and free), zinc, vitamin D, blood sugar, and thyroid profile. Avoid smoking and alcohol, manage stress, and maintain an active lifestyle. Feel free to consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
Health Tips
Do not self-medicate with supplements without testing first. Psychological support or counselling can also be very effective in psychogenic ED.
