Liver Inflammation due to alcohol
Hi Docs, My brother-in-law is suffering from Liver Inflammation due to alcohol, Its Grade 3 level damage, Docs have tried everything bt its not working, so they have suggested Steriod Shots..is this good ? will this work ?

Any medication will only work if cause of liver damage is stopped. Stop alcohol ASAP. No smoking. Steroid use would depend on other evaluation factors. But in severe cases may used. If severity is not critical than diet and exercise will help if done properly in proper guidance.

diet has a major role depending upon the bmi/weight and height calories need to be reduced. start with abundant green vegetables. reduce cereals milk milk products etc. plenty of oral fluids. reduce fat intake. morning walk for atleast one hour. slowly to be increased.
