Dear Patient,
Thank you for sharing your liver function test results. Elevated levels of bilirubin, SGPT (ALT), and GGT can indicate potential liver stress or damage. Here’s a brief overview of your results:
1. **Bilirubin Levels**: Your direct bilirubin is slightly elevated at 0.68 mg/dL, and indirect bilirubin is at 0.95 mg/dL. Elevated bilirubin can be due to various reasons, including liver dysfunction or hemolysis.
2. **SGPT (ALT)**: Your ALT level is 62.2 U/L, which is above the normal range. ALT is an enzyme found in the liver, and elevated levels can indicate liver cell damage.
3. **GGT**: Your GGT level is 49.4 U/L, which is also elevated. GGT is another liver enzyme that can be elevated in liver diseases and bile duct issues.
Given these elevated levels, it is important to investigate further to determine the underlying cause. Potential causes could include viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, alcohol consumption, or medication side effects.
I strongly recommend scheduling a consultation for a comprehensive evaluation and personalized management plan. Please feel free to reach out to me on WhatsApp at eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two to discuss your results further or to book an appointment
