Mri report : 1-partial tear of carnial and mid third of tibial collateral ligament. 2- radial tear of posterior root_posterior horn junction of lateral meniscus. What does that mean.

Hello! MRI report is suggestive of a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament. It also says that there is a tear of the lateral meniscus. However it does not indicate The grade of minuscule tear. Medial collateral ligament injury is usually treated conservatively and settle down on their own only with immobilisation. Only grade 3 tiered tears tears of the ministers need an intervention that too only when you have symptomatic locking of the knee joint. We usually don't treat the MRI, rather check for the symptoms of the patient and treat him.
