Leukoplakia is a condition where white patches form on the mucous membranes of your mouth, including your tongue and cheeks. The appearance of a red spot near the white patch could indicate irritation or inflammation. While waiting for your appointment next week, it's important to monitor any changes in the appearance or symptoms of the white patches and the red spot. If you experience any sudden increase in pain, swelling, bleeding, or other concerning symptoms, it might be a good idea to seek medical attention sooner. Leukoplakia can have various causes, including irritants like tobacco or alcohol use. It's important to follow up with your dentist or healthcare provider for a proper evaluation and diagnosis. They will be able to determine the best course of action based on your specific condition and medical history.

Hi, There is nothing to worry waiting a week. Once you are back meet your dentist immediately. The red spot could also be due to stress.
