Leukoplakia is a potentially malignant disorder, meaning it may or may not convert into malignancy. Its potential to convert into cancer depends on a number of factors such as the site of the lesion, frequency of tobacco intake and in what form it is taken, thickness and size of leukoplakic patch, age of the patient. For detailed discussion you should visit your dentist. The most likable treatment includes use of antioxidants.
