On 10 may 2025 I got a high fever, and checked it was Typhoid. After that I took medicines after the doctor's consultation. But after the Typhoid fever ( around 05/ 06/ 2025 ) ended my both legs started swelling, at starting it's very small but with time it's size increased. I visited the doctor ( 10/06/2025 and 16/06/2025 ) for this issue, he told me that it's because of vericous veins ( just by looking -> don't take any X-ray or other test for the leg ). After this I consulted with a friend's doctor He told us that it may be Microfaleria or Some reaction to the Typhoid fever antibiotics.
( Job profile of my father :- He is a medical shop owner so he has to sit and stand for 8 to 10 hours daily at the shop )
He has diabetes.
So we got three directions to go forward :-
Vericous veins
Microfaleria
Reaction to the Typhoid fever antibiotics
I will attach a leg swelling Pic for u.
I need your suggestion on how I should approach this problem for a better way to solve this problem.

Varicose veins are visible. They don't cause leg swelling suddenly.
Microfilaria diagnosis can be confirmed by Antibody test against Microfilaria.
I don't know what medicine was given to your father for Typhoid but the swelling of legs under the effect of medicines will take a few days, not within one or two days.
You didn't mention if your father has been on any long term treatment for Diabetes or Hypertension or disturbed Lipid profile.
Please seek a proper consultation with a General Physician. I would like to exclude Deep vein thrombosis by clinical examination and by Doppler studies

My opinion would it's hard to tell simply looking edema, I need to see whether it is pitting or non pitting, need to know about it's renal function, any other conditions like Hypertension, and one important question painful or non painful and also need to see face and history of alcohol or anything, need to see which antibiotics he took and which all medications he had
Please share details, is the swelling pitting on touching, is there any other problem associated?
