Left-side numbness
Good day My husband gets left-side numb feeling or pinprick feeling... He has a habit of smoking 4 to 5 cigarettes per day... He does exercise every morning... Does stationary bike for half an hour, does shirsasana... What might be the reason and is there a remedy for it... It would be grateful if you let me know. One more thing is he gets migraine headache every week that too usually Saturday and Sunday. He takes dispirin. He also sometimes gets too severe stomach pain.. For this hhe takes meftal spas and pan 40 Is all these related to one problem... Is it gas pain which affects his head causing headache

Hello, kindly avoid Shirshana and excessive cardio. ask him to do simple exercises, yoga and pranayam first. Is he taking all these medicines under any doctor's advice? Reducing and eventually quitting smoking will be beneficial too. A proper diet, Ayurvedic medicines and lifestyle changes will help to solve his problem. If possible ask him to do few blood tests, CBC, Lipid Profile, LFT, KFT, HbA1c, Vit B12, Vit D3

Does he have numbness in left upper limb or left lower limb or both ? Is there any history of neck pain? His blood sugar and Vitamin B12 level may need to be checked . I hope his blood pressure is normal . Stomach pain may be due to smoking and use of Disprin.

Dear maam This is simply a case of cervical spine pinched nerve. Ask sir to avoid shirsasana, excessive use of mobile. If you will check you will find severe stiffness in his shoulders too. The migraine also seems part of the cervical neuralgia .

Since when is he having this problem. What r other symptoms that he is experiencing? What is exact location of numbness? By doing what like walking, exertion, eating or empty stomach- it increases or decreases in intensity. For how much time the numbness remains? Is there stiffness also? Get his blood sugar fasting, cbc, X-ray cervical spines n lumbar spines, Vit B12, D checked from some lab. I need to know more to be able to make diagnosis. In the meanwhile Follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic). ) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't Overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever ur mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is ur traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style 7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, Carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 9. Drink lot of water. 10. Everyday preferably sleep on same time Exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, Swimming, gym etc. For more details, you can consult me
