I have been experiencing left shoulder and arm pain for quite some time now. It's not frequent but it occurs almost everyday but at no specific time. I have a sitting desk job and have low Vit D. Please suggest any advice.

Tab shelcal 300mg one morning and one evening for 4 to 6 weeks.
Do some hot compression, 2 to 3 times daily.
Try to use both arms for work alternately, to avoid load being put on one arm.
Once pain is better, start doing light exercises of arms and hands.

In a desk job or a desktop job correct height of chair and tabletop is necessary. While sitting straight on the chair your arms should rest comfortably on the table top.
In desktop jobs where you are constantly watching a screen , along with chair and table position the height of the screen should also be considered.
