I am planning to opt for a full body diode laser treatment. The doctor has agreed to do 6 sessions at the interval of 3 weeks each. Is it advisable to go for all sessions in a go? As I read somewhere that the sessions should be based on the hair growth subsequently after the first session

Yes sessions are based on hair growth after 1st session. Your doctor has advised you correctly about 3 weeks for sessions. This is the time taken for new hair to grow which are targeted in next session.
Once time taken for new hair growth increases your sessions are more further apart.
You are correct. First sitting you can do whole body but subsequent sessions will depend on your hair growth.
Your dermatologist will tell you about it.
