Knee twisting
Hi doctor, my 8 years old daughter knee got twisted suddenly . When she got that she is falling down .now a days the frequency of twisting is high.what causes the twisting? Is that a serious Problem?to which specialist should we consult?

It can be a subluxation or temporary giving way of her knee cap, the patella. This can happen due to her first injury. The muscles controlling her patella, the quadriceps, probably have gone injured and will give away control in challenging situations like getting up or suddenly turning while walking or standing

Looking at your daughter's history, it seems to be ligament injury. You need to get her xray and mri of the knee joint.

Could be a ligament injury. Get an X-ray of knee to evaluate for bony injuries Get an MRI of the knee to evaluate for ligament injuries
