While playing basketball my right knee got twisted with a pop sound. I have undergone MRI ,& finding shows high grade partial ACL tear alongwith synovial effusion. Shall I be requiring surgery ?

Whether ACL reconstruction in Partial ACL is required or not, it totally depend upon the laxity of knee if it is vrey lax & you feel uncomfortable going downstairs, probably you will require surgery.
Moreover it is surgeons discretion during Arthroscopy that if even after partial tear strength of ACL is good no need of ACL reconstruction , but if strength of ACL is compromised then ACL reconstruction is must..
