Hi, we took x-ray of both knees today and showed to doctor and he suggested for surgery of proximal fibular osteotomy. So please advise is it really necessary. X-rays attached for reference.

This Xray is not at all give information about palnning of osteotomy. You need Standing scanogram of both lower limb.
Fibular osteotomy is still experimental and not supported by evidence based medicine , nor we find any literature evidence as of now .
there r estblished procedures but scano gram and clinical evaluation is mst.
