The pain sets in when i over use my knee or sit for to long. if i over use my knee it will start giving out and the pain starts to travel down my leg sometimes up it and the same pretty much happens when i sit for to long. the pain also extends all throughout my knee.

Knee pain can be because of poor posture by standing and walking which is causing you pain in prolong sitting or over using...
Visit a physiotherapist and get it treated... Your body posture needs to be corrected... Also also knee strengthening exercises and do them continuously for 2--3 months..
