As there is an injury, give some rest to your knee. Cause of pain could be anything depending on the mode of injury like direct impact / twist injury / sports injury. If pain persists, get it evaluated by an orthopaedic surgeon. Might need an MRI to rule out injury to the inner structures of the knee.
Health Tips
Avoid sports activities for 2 weeks. wait and watch.
