Once, if your doctor has adviced for TKR. I will assume that it should be severe Osteoarthritis. If so, I advice you to go for TKR. Robotic TKR, Robotic Navigation TKR and TKR are the available options. Please visit our hospital for more information.
If doctor has advised TKR then it must be the only option .
Other treatment modalities are just time being solutions in advanced stage arthritis .
If deformity is very bad then robotic may help but with extra cost .
Conventional is good only .
Very difficult to comment without seeing xrays or additional information.
In general, other treatments include medical management + lifestyle changes. Whether they will be beneficial or not depends on how advanced the arthritis is.
Surgeon's choice. A good surgeon will provide better results with conventional rather than a not so good surgeon with robotic assistance.
Walking is usually started 1-2 days after surgery with walker. Full recovery takes 1-2 months
