Knee Pain Arthritis- Knee Replacement Op
My mother has knee Pain problem for more than 10 yrs now due to arthritis. She cannot sit down and does not climb stairs also. I want to know whats the criteria to go for knee replacement operation. It's recommended for whom. What's the recommended age for it. Please advise.

criteria is pain age is usually post 55 years of age for Usual osteoarthritis for other types of arthritis any age

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. However I would like to examine & investigate your mother in detail. -Control  Hypertension, Diabetes or  metabolic disorder, if there is any. -Any way it may be tried, --. Dolokind Plus (Mankind) [Aceclofenac100 mg +Paracetamol 350 mg] 1 tab. OD & SOS. X 5 days. --. Caldikind plus  (Mankind) 1 tab OD x 10 days. -(You may need help of your local doctor to get these medicines.) --. Fomentation with warm water. Let the part not be exposed to cold. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. --. Use no pillow under the head. --. Avoid painful acts & activities. -- .Do mild exercises for the affected part-ie.knee and legs and lower back. --.(Take help of physiotherapist or you can visit my YouTube channel Dr. N. C. Knee replacement is predominantly a patient indication, It also depends on the stage of arthritis of the knee joint. In the early stages, the knee can be preserved with other means than performing a replacement. If the patient is fit for surgery the age is not really a criterion.

More than age , disability to walk and stand and negotiate stairs is main criteria In such a patient it gives good results We have done replacement in patient age range 36 till 96
