Ayurveda can naturally break and dissolve stones up to 6–8 mm in size quite effectively with herbs and formulations. Stones larger than 8–9 mm may sometimes need longer treatment or combined Ayurvedic + minimal modern intervention (like stenting if blockage occurs).
Next Steps
Consult good ayurveda practitioner
Health Tips
Kulthi dal (Horse gram soup) twice a week is a powerful home remedy — it naturally helps break kidney stones over time!

You didn’t reported his age didn’t reported whether unilateral or bilateral , if all stones are visible nearby then it can be staghorn calculus , I don’t think medicine will help to overcome his issues , if all stones are scattered and biggest one is of 8 mm size then can be treated with ayurvedic medicines but if he suffers from unbearable pain or hydro nephrosis due to back pressure then you must go for URSL , if he is comfortable with medicines then can continue
Next Steps
Drink plenty of water avoid foods containing oxalates

Hi kidney stones are formed from different sources, not all stones dissolve with home remidies and bigger stones need regular ultrasound scans, most of the time they are undiagnosed and sudden unbearable pain , when taken a scan only will be identified. In some individuals after lithotripsy ( blasting the stones) again recurrence will be there In men if the stone size increases it becomes difficult to treat with medicines If the stone size is larger than 12 mm and increasing in size , surgery is option
Next Steps
diet restriction , with plenty of fluids helps in this case

Hello sir /mam We can’t say exactly what size of kidney stone can break or get cured because it largely depends on how carefully the patient follows the doctor’s advice. I have seen patients with kidney stones over 20 mm that got cured, and also patients with stones as small as 2–3 mm that didn’t pass because they didn’t follow the doctor’s instructions. In your brother’s case, we first need to understand his body constitution and the underlying dosha responsible for the kidney stone, as well as his lifestyle.
Next Steps
Please make sure he consults a doctor as soon as possibl

Ayurvedic medicines can effectively help dissolve or expel kidney stones up to 8–10 mm, depending on their location and composition. Multiple small stones can also be managed with herbal formulations like Pashanabheda, Gokshura, and Varunadi Kwath. However, proper diagnosis and continuous monitoring are important. Please consult for personalized guidance and treatment.
