Joint knee pain
This is for my mother who is suffering from severe knee pain and has followed many medications but no improvement and the local doctor asked knee replacement so need to get checked if knee replacement is necessary or not

If your mother is having severe knee pain that has not improved despite taking multiple medications, further evaluation is needed to assess the severity of joint damage knee replacement is usually recommended only in cases of advanced arthritis with persistent pain and difficulty in daily activities a proper clinical examination along with standing X-rays of the knee will help decide whether surgery is truly necessary. Based on the findings, the doctor can advise whether knee replacement is required or if other medical options are still possible
