Hi, According to your symptoms pain is due to temporomandibular joint problem. Keep in mind that for most people, discomfort from TMJ will eventually go away on its own. Do you felt this kind of sound before wisdom tooth extraction?? If it is after wisdom tooth extraction then may be pain and sound is due to physical trauma. Physical trauma can cause these muscles to become weak. For detail discussion contact on personal chat box.
Next Steps
Visit oral and maxillofacial surgeon for conservative TMJ treatment.
Health Tips
-Apply an ice pack to the jaw. -Take painkillers and muscle relaxants. -Eat soft food and chew from both side. -Do some TMJ exercises. -Don't open the mouth extra wide while yawning.

According to your symptoms pain  may be related to temperomandibular joint problem. Probably she had that before her wisdom tooth removal orelse because of force delivered during wisdom tooth she would have got it ( which is temporary and is quite common) . Kindly get opinion from a  maxillofacial surgeon.
Next Steps
consult a maxillofacial surgeon
