Hi
Thanks for reaching out
The itching and dryness in the genital area could be due to residual irritation from the previous UTI or rashes, or it may be due to fungal infection or vaginal dryness.
Next Steps
Management
1. Topical Treatment:
Apply Clotrimazole 1% cream to the affected area twice daily for one week.( After doctor consultation)
Use a vaginal moisturizer like Replens daily or a glycerin-free lubricant for dryness.
Avoid harsh soaps or scented products in the genital area to prevent further irritation.
2. Lifestyle Changes:
Wear loose, breathable cotton underwear to minimize irritation.
Maintain hygiene by washing with plain water and patting dry .
Avoid douching or using any chemical-based intimate washes or something else.
3. Follow-Up:
If symptoms persist, consult a gynecologist for a physical examination and additional tests to rule out bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, or other conditions.
A vaginal swab test may help identify the specific cause.
4. Hydration and Care:
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
If dryness persists despite treatment, discuss hormonal factors (e.g., estrogen deficiency) with your Gynecologist.
Health Tips
Avoid scratching to prevent further irritation or secondary infections.
