Is it iron deficiency?
Age: 23 Gender: Female Below are my test results. Iron 32.8 mcg/dL against reference 37-170 TIBC 452.7 mcg/dL against reference 265-497 UIBC 419.9 mcg/dL against reference 190-350 %TS 7.24 against reference 15-45 B12 288 pg/mL against reference 239-931 Does this mean iron deficiency or problem with iron absorption? How to cure iron deficiency through a plant based diet?

Eat a healthy  Balanced diet .Take a consultation from a qualified Dietician to plan a healthy eating for you.  Iron , Vitamin C, Folate rich foods to be in diet .Intake of caffeine rich sources to be avoided.

Yes your iron level is low Take iron rich foods and vitamin C rich foods Avoid taking caffeine products Avoid having iron rich foods with calcium rich  products like milk and its products and high fibrous foods.

Hi, Adding Vit C to your diet, helps absorbing the Iron in good way. Like adding lemon juice to poha, amla to Palak etc. Take balanced diet comprising all nutrients including iron rich foods like Green leafy veggies, apples, dates, raisins, olives etc.

Healthy afternoon ma’am, Eating more iron- rich foods such as lean meat , nuts, beans, lentils, dark leafy vegetables,& breakfast cereals consuming a variety of heam & non- heam iron sources . Including more vitamin C rich foods in meals , such as citrus fruits, peppers, tomatoes, and broccoli.
