My father has been diagnosed with stage IV small bowel cancer which has metastasised from jejunal loops to several lymph nodes,
liver, pancreas, renal Sol and right lobe of lung. Tumor type is high grade non Hodgkin's lymphoma. Oncologist suggested for chemo with only 30-40% chances to recover and didn't say anything to cure the disease completely. I got some very bad reviews for chemotherapy as it may make cancer cells more aggressive and would be painful for patient who is 65 years old male with 55 kg weight.
Please suggest whether we should go for chemotherapy or not ?
